Finished Keith Richard's autobiography. No, I'm not attempting to write a review, there's only one Michiko Kakutani. Yes, this is a brilliant book whether you're a Stones' fan or not. Keef's the man.

I'm a horder. A horder of Hello Kitty...ALLTHINGSHELLOKITTY!!! I don't care for school supplies and the like (although I do have that too). Instead, I collect kitchen appliances, sewing machines, sports gear, guitars, jewelry, to name a few. Some of it I use, some of it is still in boxes. Blame it on my cat-less childhood in Stavanger, for years, anywhere I went, I'd somehow find a Sanrio/Hello Kitty store to bring back one-of-a-kinders. You can say I've made up for my deprived childhood, and then some! But now that my household is growing and space is limited, it's time to put the mouthless kitty away for good...
My loss can be your gain. For a complete (yes there's more) list of things and prices, email me.

A few days ago, on a whim, I decided to trim my bangs myself. What should've been a quick snip snip became a chop job. ARGH! Lessons learned: 1) do not over-obsess with my hair in front of the mirror in near proximity of scissors; 2) a good hat can hide a lot...

Inspired by (or too cheap to buy) Erin Wasson, Bliss Lau and countless DIY posts online, I went to downtown LA and bought metal chains. 10 minutes + 1 broken nail after, hello bodychain!
Hanes top (w/neck cut off), 7 For All Mankind shorts, Falke tights

Pucker up! A bright red pout always looks good whether it's day or night, dressed up or dressed down. My go-to is Nars Dragon Girl Velvet Matte Lip Pencil. It's a liptick and a lipliner in one jumbo pencil, super easy to apply, and the color lasts (almost) forever. This picture was taken a few months ago. I just love how my lipstick still looked perfect at 3 AM - no touch up needed.

Confession: I haven't heard of Carven until I recently saw their Spring 2011 trunk show at Barneys. I'm obsessed!!! Carven was established by Madame Carven in 1945. It was once a member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture and known for dressing movie stars and European royalty. The label relaunched in Spring 2010 with a ready-to-wear line by creative director, Guillaume Henry, former assistant to Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci. Haute Couture sensibility at wallet-friendly prices? Yes, please!
